Who Has the Most Followers on TikTok in 2023:

20 Most-followed TikTok Users in 2023

1. Charli D’Amelio (@charlidamelio)

@charlidamelio

With more than 148 million TikTok followers, Charli D’Amelio has the most followers on the platform as of January 2022. And, it’s not just regarding the number of TikTok followers that she takes the lead. According to The Wall Street Journal, she’s among the TikTok stars who made more than the CEOs of several S&P 500 companies. Forbes magazine estimates her income for 2021 at a whopping $17.5 million.

If you wonder how she managed to climb her way to the top of the TikTok charts to become one of the highest paid influencers, it’s through dance. After her dance moves reached viral status on TikTok, she caught the attention of the likes of the Jonas Brothers and The Tonight Show. Then, one thing led to another and to many followers and dollars.

2. Khabane Lame (@khaby.lame)

@khaby.lame

Khabane Lame (or simply Khaby) has just over 152 million followers on TikTok, making him the male TikTok influencer with the most followers. Born in Senegal but raised in Italy, his claim to TikTok fame is short comedy skits about how people can complicate simple things, like cutting a cake. Similarly to Mr Bean, he’ll crack you up without saying a word. It’s his signature facial expression that speaks volumes.

On an interesting side note, he first joined TikTok after losing his job during the coronavirus lockdown. His videos that poke fun at life-hack videos prove that you don’t necessarily need to dance or sing (or lip-sync) to be able to build a following on TikTok.

3. Bella Poarch (@bellapoarch)

@bellapoarch

Bella’s biggest following is on TikTok where she has 92.4 million followers. Before she turned to social media, she served in the US Navy. Now, she’s into a different kind of uniform aka cosplay, but it’s the video in which she lip-syncs “M to the B” by Millie B that’s received the most likes.

She’s been on the platform for just over a year and, according to ExactNetWorth, she gets paid about $30,000 for a sponsored TikTok. With regards to her net worth some online sources calculate it at about $300,000, while ExactNetWorth estimates that it can be as much as $2 million.

In September 2021, TikTok also revealed that it will be launching its first NFT collection. It was supposed to feature a number of collaborations including one between Bella and Grimes. However, TikTok failed to produce this NFT and other planned digital collectibles.

4. Addison Rae (@addisonre)

@addisonre

Addison Rae is best known for her dance videos. It took her only a few months after joining TikTok to get her first million followers. Fast-forward two years later and she has over 88 million followers.

She’s showing no signs of slowing down and kicked off 2022 on a high note too. In January 2022, she was named the Global Brand Ambassador for Vital Proteins and minted her first NFTs. Her NFTs collection that featured 7,777 unique pieces sold out immediately.

5. Zach King (@zachking)

Most recently, he has won a Streamy Award for Best Visual and Special Effects (his third Streamy award to date). His most impressive award, though, is probably winning Mr. Beast’s The Creator Games 3.

6. Will Smith (@willsmith)

@willsmith

Not everyone on TikTok belongs to the millennial generation or is only known for their social media content. A number of celebrities have also turned to TikTok as another means to reach their fans. In fact, at the time of writing this article, Will Smith has the sixth most followers on TikTok.

Boasting just shy of 72.6 million followers, his content has generated more than 500 million likes. However, online commenters have hypothesized that the reason for his success on the platform that mostly caters to younger crowds is the quality of his videos. As a matter of fact, that’s also his major criticism.

Some users are annoyed by the fact that he probably has a team of expert producers to edit his videos. It has even been suggested that his content might be sponsored by his movie projects.

Also, considering that he was long famous before many of today’s TikTok stars were even born, he doesn’t need the platform as much as other creators who use it to earn a living. However, it’s a free country and, at the end of the day, he does upload entertaining, high-quality content.

7. Kimberly Loaiza (@kimberly.loaiza)

@kimberly.loaiza

8. Dixie D’Amelio (@dixiedamelio)

Dixie D’Amelio is following in the footsteps of her younger sister, Charli D’Amelio. While her sister is more known for her dance moves, Dixie concentrates more on music. To date, she’s released a couple of singles. In fact, her debut single was the number one trending video on YouTube for a while and she’s performed alongside the likes of the Jonas Brothers and Ed Sheeran.

While she has attracted a substantial following of her own on TikTok, not everything is about going solo for her. She also started a Hulu series, The D’Amelio Show, with her sister. The first episode aired at the beginning of September 2021 and the show was renewed for a second season. A release date for the second season is still to be revealed.

Forbes has estimated that together the sister duo’s combined earnings added up to nearly $28 million. To put this into perspective, in 2020 this was estimated at “only” $7 million.

For eight years, he wrestled for the WWF (some would say a different form of acting but we won’t go into that now).

14. Dominik (@domelipa)

@domelipa

Dominik Elizabeth Reséndez Robledo (or simply just Domelipa) is one of the top influencers on Instagram. Just like Kimberly Loaiza, she also comes from Mexico. She mostly shares modeling photos on Instagram, but on TikTok she also shows off her dance moves and lip-syncing skills.

It’s also on TikTok where she has found the most success. With just over 61 million followers, she gets on average over 1 million likes per post and about 14,000 comments per post. She also has her own merch store that sells a wide range of apparel like joggers, hoodies, and cellphone cases and has partnered with a number of well-known brands that include Tommy Jeans and Pandora.

In September 2019, they managed to reach this major milestone in just three hours and 31 minutes. It’s actually recognized by Guinness World Records. Yes, it’s that official. You can go look it up.

In recent years, the South Korean band has racked up several other world records. These include the most streamed track on Spotify in the first 24 hours, most viewers for the premiere of a music video on YouTube, and most followers on Instagram for a music group. You get the idea.

16. Riyaz (@riyaz.14)

@riyaz.14

Other than the fact that he likes fast cars, not much is known about this Indian TikTok star.

17. YZ (@youneszarou)

@youneszarou

He also has another TikTok channel (@youneszar) that he’s dedicated exclusively to his German followers. That said, with only 4 million followers to date, it doesn’t have nearly the number of followers that his main channel boasts.

18. Kris HC (@kallmekris)

@kallmekris

Kris HC (aka Kris Collins) is a former Canadian hairdresser. Similarly to Khaby, she also created her TikTok account during the pandemic. Though, unlike him, she hasn’t had quite the same success.

He has, for example, partnered with EA Sports to promote Apex Legends, a game similar to Fortnite. For this TikTok campaign, he created a comedy video of himself playing the game.

In addition to these channels, he’s also active on Patreon where shares video clips and exclusive moments.

20. Junya (@junya1gou)

@junya1gou

Junya’s TikTok bio confidently claims that he will be the king of TikTok. With 43.2 million followers, he’s made it onto the Top 20 list, but considering that the TikTok account with the most followers already has more than three times the number of followers he still has some way to go.

One title that he can already flaunt is that he was the first influencer from Japan to reach more than 10 million TikTok followers. He is best known for uploading weird food tricks and experiments.
