Who Has the Most Followers on TikTok in 2024?

TikTok is one of the fastest-growing social media apps in the world. In 2024, it has surpassed 1.6 billion users and exceeded 4.1 billion downloads. With such massive numbers, it's no surprise that users are flocking to the app. Primarily, the app's audience is comprised of Gen Zs and Millennials. While TikTok was initially designed as an alternative to Musical.ly, with lip-sync videos being the more popular content type, you can find all kinds of videos nowadays.

Everything is on TikTok, from viral challenges and trends to conspiracy videos and deep dives into celebrity lifestyles. And some of the most popular TikTokers have made their name on the platform. But who are they?

To get to the bottom, here's a list of the top 20 most followed TikTokers in 2024.

20 Most-followed TikTok Users in 2024

1. Khabane Lame (@khaby.lame)

@khaby.lame

Khabane Lame (or simply Khaby) has just over 162 million followers on TikTok, making him the male TikTok influencer with the most followers. Born in Senegal but raised in Italy, his claim to TikTok fame is short comedy skits about how people can complicate simple things, like cutting a cake. Similarly to Mr Bean, he’ll crack you up without saying a word. It’s his signature facial expression that speaks volumes.

On an interesting side note, he first joined TikTok after losing his job during the coronavirus lockdown. His videos that poke fun at life-hack videos prove that you don’t necessarily need to dance or sing (or lip-sync) to be able to build a following on TikTok.

2. Charli D’Amelio (@charlidamelio)

@charlidamelio

With more than 155 million TikTok followers, Charli D’Amelio is the most followed female TikToker on the platform. And, it’s not just regarding the number of TikTok followers that she takes the lead. According to The Wall Street Journal, she’s among the TikTok stars who made more than the CEOs of several S&P 500 companies. Forbes magazine estimates her income for 2024 at a whopping 30 million!

If you wonder how she managed to climb her way to the top of the TikTok charts to become one of the highest paid influencers, it’s through dance. After her dance moves reached viral status on TikTok, she caught the attention of the likes of the Jonas Brothers and The Tonight Show. Then, one thing led to another and to many followers and dollars.

3. Bella Poarch (@bellapoarch)

@bellapoarch

Bella’s biggest following is on TikTok where she has 94 million followers. Before she turned to social media, she served in the US Navy. Now, she’s into a different kind of uniform aka cosplay, but it’s the video in which she lip-syncs “M to the B” by Millie B that’s received the most likes.

She’s been on the platform for just over a year and, according to ExactNetWorth, she gets paid about $30,000 for a sponsored TikTok. With regards to her net worth some online sources calculate it at about $5,000,000, while others estimates that it can be as much as $20 million.

In September 2021, TikTok also revealed that it will be launching its first NFT collection. It was supposed to feature a number of collaborations including one between Bella and Grimes. However, TikTok failed to produce this NFT and other planned digital collectibles.

4. Addison Rae (@addisonre)

@addisonre

Addison Rae is best known for her dance videos. It took her only a few months after joining TikTok to get her first million followers. Fast-forward two years later and she has over 88 million followers.

She’s showing no signs of slowing down and kicked off 2024 on a high note too. She was named the Global Brand Ambassador for Vital Proteins and minted her first NFTs. Her NFTs collection that featured 7,777 unique pieces sold out immediately.

5. Zach King (@zachking)

@zachking

Zach King is an illusionist and American internet personality. Based in Los Angeles, he’s known for his short-form digital sleight of hand videos which have received more than 916 million likes.

Before his rise to TikTok fame, his videos have already landed him a number of awards including the Hewlett-Packard commercial contest and YouTube’s NextUp Creators Contest.

Most recently, he has won a Streamy Award for Best Visual and Special Effects (his third Streamy award to date). His most impressive award, though, is probably winning Mr. Beast’s The Creator Games 3.

6. Kimberly Loaiza (@kimberly.loaiza)

@kimberly.loaiza

Hailing from Mexico, Kimberly Loaiza is one of the top YouTube influencers and biggest social media influencers on TikTok. According to HypeAuditor, she’s currently listed as the top TikTok influencer from Mexico.

She has 81 million followers. On average, her videos get 25,000 comments and just over 9 million views per post. About 3% of her posts hit the “For you” tab and her viral video potential is ranked as high according to HypeAuditor.

While she’s best known for vlogs and challenge videos, she has also released four singles. It’s estimated that her worth in 2024 is about $12 million.

7. Will Smith (@willsmith)

@willsmith

Not everyone on TikTok belongs to the millennial generation or is only known for their social media content. A number of celebrities have also turned to TikTok as another means to reach their fans. In fact, at the time of writing this article, Will Smith has the 7th most followers on TikTok.

Boasting just shy of 75 million followers, his content has generated more than 500 million likes. However, online commenters have hypothesized that the reason for his success on the platform that mostly caters to younger crowds is the quality of his videos. As a matter of fact, that’s also his major criticism.

Some users are annoyed by the fact that he probably has a team of expert producers to edit his videos. It has even been suggested that his content might be sponsored by his movie projects.

Also, considering that he was long famous before many of today’s TikTok stars were even born, he doesn’t need the platform as much as other creators who use it to earn a living. However, it’s a free country and, at the end of the day, he does upload entertaining, high-quality content.

8. Burak Özdemir (@cznburak)

@cznburak

Burak Özdemir (aka CZN Burak) is a restaurateur and chef from Turkey. As of 2024, he has nearly 75 million followers and, according to HypeAuditor, the average number of views per post is 2.5 million.

His success extends beyond the digital space. He’s also the owner of Hatay Civilizations Table, a chain of restaurants with four branches, including one in Dubai. His claim to fame is the gigantic-sized portions of Middle Eastern and Turkish foods that he prepares and other popular foods such as hot dogs and burgers.

It’s not just his portions that are huge, but also his smile. When he cooks, he stares directly at the camera grinning from ear to ear.

9. Dominik (@domelipa)

@domelipa

Dominik Elizabeth Reséndez Robledo (or simply just Domelipa) is one of the top influencers on Instagram. Just like Kimberly Loaiza, she also comes from Mexico. She mostly shares modeling photos on Instagram, but on TikTok she also shows off her dance moves and lip-syncing skills.

It’s also on TikTok where she has found the most success. With just over 75 million followers, she gets on average over 1.3 million likes per post and about 16,000 comments per post. She also has her own merch store that sells a wide range of apparel like joggers, hoodies, and cellphone cases and has partnered with a number of well-known brands that include Tommy Jeans and Pandora.

10. The Rock (@therock)

@therock

With just shy of 75 million followers, The Rock (formally known as Dwayne Johnson) is  regarded as one of the top fitness influencers and rocks up in 10th spot. If you only know him as an actor, he had a whole other career before he turned to the movie industry. For eight years, he wrestled for the WWF (some would say a different form of acting but we won’t go into that now).

11. BTS (@bts_official_bighit)

@bts_official_bighit

As of 2024, the official TikTok account of BTS has nearly 66 million followers. In fact, they hold the record for the fastest time to get one million followers in TikTok. In September 2019, when they joined, they managed to reach this major milestone in just three hours and 31 minutes. It’s actually recognized by Guinness World Records. Yes, it’s that official. You can go look it up.

In recent years, the South Korean band has racked up several other world records. These include the most streamed track on Spotify in the first 24 hours, most viewers for the premiere of a music video on YouTube, and most followers on Instagram for a music group. You get the idea.

12. Jason Derulo (@jasonderulo)

@jasonderulo

Will Smith isn’t the only celebrity who has turned to TikTok to keep his fans engaged. Jason Derulo, award-winning American singer, songwriter, and dancer, has also had plenty of success.

In 2020, he collaborated with Jawsh 685 to release a single “Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat)” on TikTok and is one of the top songs on the platform. Later in the same year, he released another single, “Love Not War (The Tampa Beat)” which was produced by Nuka and features New Caledonian. To date, it was used in more than 20 million TikTok videos.

In an interview with Complex, Derulo shared that he gets about $75,000 per TikTok video. He also shared that TikTok, unlike other apps, allows him to show his true self. According to Celebrity Net Worth, his net worth is about $16 million.

13. Dixie D’Amelio (@dixiedamelio)

@dixiedamelio

Dixie D’Amelio is following in the footsteps of her younger sister, Charli D’Amelio. While her sister is more known for her dance moves, Dixie concentrates more on music. To date, she’s released a couple of singles. In fact, her debut single was the number one trending video on YouTube for a while and she’s performed alongside the likes of the Jonas Brothers and Ed Sheeran.

While she has attracted a substantial following of her own on TikTok, not everything is about going solo for her. She also started a Hulu series, The D’Amelio Show, with her sister. The first episode aired at the beginning of September 2021 and the show was renewed for a second season. A release date for the second season is still to be revealed.

Forbes has estimated that together the sister duo’s combined earnings added up to nearly $100 million. To put this into perspective, just a few years back in 2020, this was estimated at “only” $7 million.

14. YZ (@youneszarou)

@youneszarou

As of 2024, YZ (aka Younes Zarou) has 55 million followers on TikTok. He’s a German influencer and social media personality who’s best known for his illusion videos. Little information and data are available about him, but it’s estimated that his net worth is about $35 million!

He also has another TikTok channel (@youneszar) that he’s dedicated exclusively to his German followers. That said, with only 6.1 million followers to date, it doesn’t have nearly the number of followers that his main channel boasts.

15. Spencer X (@spencerx)

@spencerx

Spencer X is an American beatboxer and social media personality. He dubbed himself the Mouth Music Man on TikTok where he shares original songs, beatboxing covers, tutorials, and collabs.

With nearly 55 million followers on TikTok and boasting 1.3 billion likes, Spencer X is one of the highest paid stars on the platform. His annual earnings are estimated at about $1.2 million.

Not only have his followers on TikTok taken notice of him, but also TikTok itself. TikTok announced that he will receive a portion of TikTok’s Creator Fund. He’s also caught the attention of big names in the entertainment industry and has collaborated with artists like Alicia Keys and Kendrick Lamar.

16. Michael Le (@justmaiko)

@justmaiko

Michael Le’s career on TikTok started while it was still known as Musical.ly. Fast-forward six years and he has over 51 million followers. He regularly collaborates with his younger siblings who are also into dance and, in 2020, he also created a collab house, Shluv House, in Los Angeles.

Most recently, Michael and the other members of Shluv House announced that they’ll be launching a new Brat TV-produced Facebook series, The Shluv Family. This series will give fans and followers a sneak peek into the collaboration as they tackle challenges. Michael explained to Celeb Secrets that working together as a family is a key element to their success.

17. Kris HC (@kallmekris)

@kallmekris

Kris HC (aka Kris Collins) is a former Canadian hairdresser. Similarly to Khaby, she also created her TikTok account during the pandemic. Though, unlike him, she hasn’t had quite the same success.

On TikTok, she mainly shares lip-sync videos with funny facial expressions. She has also created a couple of popular characters that include a fed-up mom and tiny-handed toddler.

She also shared on YouTube that she’s been struggling with mental health since middle school. The video received a warm response and over 1.8 million views to date.

18. Brent Rivera (@brentrivera)

@brentrivera

Brent Rivera is an American actor, social media star, and YouTuber. Before he generated a huge following on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, he shared content on Vine. So, he’s no overnight success like some of the other TikTok influencers on our list.

He has, for example, partnered with EA Sports to promote Apex Legends, a game similar to Fortnite. For this TikTok campaign, he created a comedy video of himself playing the game.

In addition to these channels, he’s also active on Patreon where shares video clips and exclusive moments.

19. Riyaz (@riyaz.14)

@riyaz.14

Riyaz Afreen (aka Riyaz Aly) is an actor and fashion blogger from India. While he started originally on Instagram, he’s better known for this duet and lip-syncing videos on TikTok. His estimated earnings per post are calculated at about $35,000 making him one of the highest paid influencers on the platform, while his net worth is estimated to be about $2 million. Other than the fact that he likes fast cars, not much is known about this Indian TikTok star.

20. Junya (@junya1gou)

@junya1gou

Junya’s TikTok bio confidently claims that he will be the king of TikTok. With 44 million followers, he’s made it onto the Top 20 list, but considering that the TikTok account with the most followers already has more than three times the number of followers he still has some way to go.

One title that he can already flaunt is that he was the first influencer from Japan to reach more than 10 million TikTok followers. He is best known for uploading weird food tricks and experiments.
