Highest Paid TikTok Influencers of 2024

One of the most lucrative careers these days is to become a social media influencer. It’s proven that they make good money even if they’re not necessarily celebrities. Brands are even willing to pay them millions of dollars every year in brand deals and sponsorships. Being the new kid on the block, TikTok has been creating some of the world’s highest-paid influencers.

TikTok surpassed 1.5 billion users in 2024, and increased revenue by 23.1% compared to the previous year. With the launch of TikTok Business last year, it comes as no surprise that more influencers are earning insane amounts of money on the platform.

TikTok’s user base is mostly Gen Z, but Millennials, Gen Xers and Boomers are starting to join the platform. However, TikTok’s highest earners are still mostly Gen Z. As TikTok keeps growing, it’s possible other demographics would become its biggest stars. For now, though, let’s dive into our list of TikTok’s highest-paid stars, with details about how much they’re earning on the platform. Just how much do these stars make by the second?

Typical TikTok Influencer Earnings

NeoReach’s 2023 Creator Earnings and Insights Industry Report takes a closer look at the typical salary for influencers and content creators.

Based on those numbers, the median salary for TikTok influencers is somewhere between $15,000 and $25,000.

Just under one-third of influencers are making a full-time salary.

If you’re wondering where all this money for influencers is coming from, keep reading as we break down how TikTok creators monetize their content.

How Do TikTok Influencers Earn Money?

When it comes to earning potential for TikTok influencers, the sky's the limit.

But how are all these influencers getting paid?

Let’s break down the various revenue streams available to TikTok influencers.

Brand Partnerships/Sponsored Posts

The entire influencer/creator economy is centered around creators endorsing brands’ products.

This is especially true for platforms like TikTok and Instagram, where creators can’t earn money passively through ads (like they can with YouTube).

On TikTok, brands typically pay influencers a flat rate to create posts hyping their products. 66.9% of content creators say they earn the most income from sponsored posts and brand deals.

Here’s a look at how much TikTok influencers can earn per sponsored posts based on their follower count:

Please note that these figures represent average estimates, and actual earnings can vary widely based on numerous factors such as engagement rates, niche, audience demographics, and negotiation skills.

TikTok Creator Fund

In July 2020, TikTok launched its Creator Fund in the US, UK, Germany, Italy, France, and Spain.

The fund pays content creators based on how many views their videos receive.

To be eligible for the fund, creators must have at least 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views over the past 30 days.

The Creator Fund offers a path toward monetization, but its payouts aren’t too impressive.

Influencers can expect to earn between $0.02 and $0.04 for every 1,000 views from the Creator Fund. That’s $20-40 for every one million views.

Not exactly a cash cow, which is why most influencers don’t rely on the Creator Fund to earn a living.

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing has been around for decades, and TikTok creators have found a way to leverage it in their content.

In this monetization strategy, influencers promote products and post a link to purchase the product in their profile or the video’s comments section.

When a user buys a product using that link, the influencer earns a commission.

Influencers can become affiliates by working directly with brands or by tapping into massive affiliate networks like Amazon Associates and Etsy Affiliate.

While it might not be as lucrative as sponsored posts, 7.8% of content creators say they earn the most money through affiliate marketing.

TikTok Live Gifts

TikTok Live lets creators interact with their fans in real time. During these live sessions, fans can send creators digital gifts — stickers that can be redeemed for coins, which in turn can be redeemed for money.

Much like the creator fund, TikTok Live gifts typically aren’t very impactful. While they range in value from $0.01 to $562.48, most stickers are only worth a few cents.

Highest Paid TikTok Influencers of 2024:

Highest-Paid TikTok Stars

Despite criticisms, TikTok remains to be a very strong social media platform with 1 billion monthly active users globally. It has given other social media platforms a run for their money as giants like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube scramble to copy TikTok’s short video format. Based on the latest Sensor Tower study, TikTok was the 3nd most downloaded non-game app, surpassing YouTube, Snapchat, and Spotify in the Q1 of 2024

But who are the TikTok stars that drive the app to its record-setting earnings?

1. Charli D'Amelio

@charlidamelio

Annual Est. Earnings:

$17.5M

Charli D’Amelio tops the list as the highest-paid TikTok influencer of 2022. Forbes has included her twice in a row in their list of the Top 7 Highest Paid TikTok Stars. She started posting dance videos on TikTok in June 2019 which soon went viral. Since then, she went on to appear as an opening act for the Jonas Brothers and as a guest on Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show.

She has been invited by Prada to cover Paris Fashion Week and has forged a partnership with EOS Cosmetics. She has even appeared for a Super Bowl commercial!

Together with her sister, Dixie, she moved to Los Angeles and joined Hype House, a creator cooperative. The two have also signed a joint venture deal with Hollister. They created Social Tourist, a clothing brand, whose success contributes to 10% of the company’s sales. The sisters have also launched a mini-TV series on Hulu which has been renewed for a 2nd season. They even have a brand deal with Morphe Cosmetics.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Charli D’Amelio earned higher than some of the biggest CEOs of publicly traded companies like Starbucks and McDonalds. Her latest promotions include Dunkin Donuts, which named a drink after her. She also has her own line of influencer merch.

2. Dixie D’Amelio

@dixiedamelio

Annual Est. Earnings:

$10M

Dixie D’Amelio is Charli D’Amelio’s older sister. They regularly post content together on each other’s accounts and this has boosted their overall TikTok presence. Dixie, however, has opted to branch out into music. She released her first single “Be Happy” in June 2020. It debuted at number one on both Billboard’s Top Triller U.S. and Top Triller Global charts and became the number one trending video on YouTube.

Last year, she released two more songs—“Psycho” and “F-kBoy”—and toured with other pop artists during Christmastime. She also stars with her sister in a Snapchat series titled “Charli vs. Dixie” and the Hulu reality-TV series, “The D’Amelio Show.”

3. Addison Rae

@addisonre

Annual Est. Earnings:

$8.5M

Addison Rae Easterling rose to fame on Tiktok by showcasing her dance moves. She quickly got a million followers less than a year after joining the platform.

Her first sponsored content was for a women's online clothing store, Fashion Nova. Later that year, Easterling decided to become a full-time celebrity. She left school and went to LA, California where she joined a group of TikTok influencers and formed Hype House. She then created branded merchandise as well as sponsored content for Daniel Wellington, a famous watch company and Reebok company.

Addison Rae capitalized on this success and went on to become American Eagle’s main spokesperson. She started to appear on other digital and traditional print and TV ads. She created Item Beauty, her own makeup line in partnership with beauty startup Madeby.

Last year, she landed her biggest role yet—a lead role in Netflix’s He’s All That, which paved the way for more deals with the streaming company.

4. Bella Poarch

@bellapoarch

Annual Est. Earnings:

$5M

Bella Poarch is the newest addition to the world’s biggest TikTok stars. Her rise to fame was through a viral video she made lip-syncing to Millie B’s “Soph Aspin Send.” Her followers quickly rose to 80M and she became the third most followed account on TikTok. Her video was also the most viewed TikTok video of 2020.

Born in the Philippines before migrating to Texas with her adoptive family, she has openly spoken about her roots and challenges growing up. Her TikTok fame has opened doors for her as a pop artist where she signed a deal with Warner Records and released her single, “Build a Bitch.” It reached No.56 in the Billboard pop charts and earned her several MTV nominations.

Poarch has also appeared in professional Esports organizations after she grabbed their attention as a live streamer and gamer. She has signed as a content creator under 100 Thieves and FaZe Clan. She has also appeared in ads of big brands like Google & Prada.

5. Josh Richards

@joshrichards

Annual Est. Earnings:

$5M

Josh Richards remains as one of TikTok’s highest-paid stars. His popularity rose due to his singing, dance, and lip-sync videos, and he has since built a reputation as Tiktok’s resident heartthrob and bad boy.

He has secured sponsorships with HouseParty and Reebok, created his own influencer merch line, leveraged YouTube ad revenue, and signed a song deal with Warner Records. Richards also started his own energy drink business called Ani Energy, co-founded a talent management company named Talent X, and joined Triller as its Chief Strategy Officer. His move to Triller as a social media executive set him up for evolution from his TikTok persona to an industry leader.

He also co-founded Animal Capital, a VC firm that invests in everything from apps to genetic-engineering labs.

6. Kris Collins

@kallmekris

Annual Est. Earnings:

$4.75M

Kris Collins has achieved what other content creators struggle with, with a sizable and active following on both TikTok and Youtube. Since the two video platforms rely on different video formats, success in one platform may not necessarily translate to success in the other.

Collins is a hairdresser in Vancouver, Canada who was laid off due to the pandemic. She turned to TikTok at the insistence of her brother and produced comedy sketches that mostly involve her other family members. Her rise to fame all happened quickly and is another testament to how someone can easily become an influencer on TikTok.

Her humor has resonated with brands like Amazon, Hershey, Pantene, and Lionsgate, who became some of her sponsors.

7. Avani Gregg

@avani

Annual Est. Earnings:

$4.75M

Avani Gregg, another of TikTok’s biggest stars, became famous due to her TikTok video where she transformed into a Harley Quinn-style clown. Followers called her the “clown girl” and started following her make-up videos.

She also joined Hype House in 2019, together with Charli D’Amelio. She went on to star in Chicken Girls, published a memoir and hosted a Facebook Watch talk show addressing Gen-Z issues.

She has sponsorship deals with brands like NYX Cosmetics and her own line of influencer merchandise.
